Nedim Useinow
Education
I studied political science at the University of Gdańsk, then I worked on my doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the University of Warsaw.
Professional experience
I have worked for non-governmental organizations in Poland and abroad, supporting the development of local democracy, including in Ukraine. For years, I have been fascinated by the growing significance of digital technology in economic development and political life. I have dealt with a wide range of digital topics, from big data to cybersecurity, helping local governments, journalists, and activists make more effective use of the potential of modern information technologies and strengthen their resilience to threats in the online space.
Hobbies
I have two strong interests—literature and travel. For years, my constant travel destination has been Italy, a country I'm boundlessly in love with. I read in five languages: Polish, Ukrainian, English, Crimean Tatar, and Russian. I'm interested in classic and contemporary fiction, as well as political literature and works dedicated to cultural and ethnic identity issues.
